"AD LUCEM" is Latin for "to the light."
These pieces are reminders to look “to the light.” To turn to the helpers, move into hope, and create a bit of light for others. A way to remember that during dark times one must find a bit of brightness, either within or without.
The necklaces and rings in this collection are made from clusters of hessonite garnets with bellies full of light. Surrounding all the garnets are radiating flourishes of sterling silver, accentuating the glow of the stones.
Inscribed on the insides of each ring and the backs of all the necklaces is the Latin phrase “Ad Lucem.”

♥ Made in my work studio using time-consuming, age-old metalsmithing techniques. This piece is made with solid craftsmanship and all parts of this piece have been hand-fabricated.

♥ All of the pieces in my collections are handmade and hand-finished, and many gemstones will have slight, natural imperfections. It is these variations and slight imperfections which denote their handcrafted nature.

♥ To create my antiqued pieces, the sterling silver is oxidize until dark gray. This oxidization is not permanent, and will fade in the areas that rub, and stay dark in the recesses.
