This ring is made from a stunning, smooth, bright orange amber gemstone. The stone has a reddish brown honey color. The light filters beautifully through these stones and highlights the little ripples and inclusions throughout the stone. Autumn melted and poured into a ring.
Glowing amber, a thin sterling silver ring band with a heavy bark texture, and serrated edges cupping the gemstone, like the edges of a fallen elm leaf.
The band and bezel have been oxidized and hand polished for a textured, organic look.

To create my antiqued pieces, the sterling silver is oxidize until dark gray. Oxidation is a process that happens over time naturally to sterling silver. Then the piece is brushed and polished until the highlights are lighter and the lowlights are darkened. But this oxidization is not permanent, and will fade in the areas that rub, and stay dark in the recesses. The patina will change over time, making your piece unique to you.
