Size 7 | The Owl's Path Ring | Wide Saddle Band | #8
“It’s the great, big, broad land ’way up yonder,
It’s the forests where silence has lease;
It’s the beauty that thrills me with wonder,
It’s the stillness that fills me with peace.”
– Robert Service, The Spell of the Yukon
Rugged and weathered. Of the mountains.
This ring is made from a natural, snowy dendritic agate/merlinite stone, which is set in a hand smithed bezel of sterling silver. The gemstone features a winterscape that has been set to emphasize the frosty landscape.
The stone has been set atop a hand-forged, wide band with a silhouette of an owl in flight overlayed on either side of the stone.
And around the band is a delicately hammered path, like the owls are following a well trodden trail through a darkening forest.
There are owls roosting and flying in all the corners of this collection. I was even able to talk a few little ones into settling atop your hand, as in this ring.
The ring has been oxidized and polished to give the it an organic and weathered feel.
☀ Since it is a wide band, it will fit snugly. Therefore it is recommended to purchase 1/2 - 1 full size larger than your regular size. I always give sizes as they read on the mandrel. For example, if you are usually a size 7, look for one that is a 7.5 - 8.

♥ Made in my work studio using time-consuming, age-old metalsmithing techniques. This piece is made with solid craftsmanship and all parts of this piece have been hand-fabricated.

♥ All of the pieces in my collections are handmade and hand-finished, and make use of natural and recycled materials. All items will have slight, natural imperfections rendering each piece unique. It is these variations and imperfections which denote their handcrafted nature and individual character, specially made for every wearer.

♥ To create my antiqued pieces, the sterling silver is oxidize until dark gray. Oxidation is a process that happens over time naturally to sterling silver. Then the piece is brushed and polished until the highlights are lighter and the lowlights are darkened. But this oxidization is not permanent, and will fade in the areas that rub, and stay dark in the recesses. The patina will change over time, making your piece unique to you, and growing more beautiful with wear.
