Snow Moon Earring | #7

Everyday earrings for those who’d like a bit of moonlight to carry throughout the day. 

They feel like pure, understated magic, all winter glow and sterling silver.

These earrings are made to be lightweight and gentle. They feature brushed silver moons suspended above rainbow moonstones.

The stones in the earrings mostly have a very soft schiller, a gentle blue sheen to play across the tops of the stones. 

When the light doesn’t hit them just right, they look like sweet, little drops of crackled ice and snow.

Measure about 50mm (2”) from the top of the 
earwire to the bottom of the gemstone.

♥ Made in my work studio using time-consuming, age-old metalsmithing techniques. This piece is made with solid craftsmanship and all parts of this piece have been hand-fabricated.

♥ All of the pieces in my collections are handmade, and make use of natural and recycled materials. All items will have slight, natural imperfections in the handiwork, as well as the gemstones. It is these variations and imperfections which denote their handcrafted nature and individual character.

♥ To create my antiqued pieces, the sterling silver is oxidize until dark gray. Oxidation is a process that happens over time naturally to sterling silver. Then the piece is brushed and polished until the highlights are lighter and the lowlights are darkened. But this oxidization is not permanent, and will fade in the areas that rub, and stay dark in the recesses. The patina will change over time, making your piece unique to you.
